What happened to you?  I couldn’t get the system to accept my correct input, and I could not get any human guidance for correcting the problem. What would you like to see happen?  There should be someone available 24/7 while the system is in operation, someone that can quickly investigate and correct a machine error. What happened to you? Daylight savings time in Michigan adds to my winter depression. What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see Michigan join other states that don’t use seasonal daylight savings time. How do you think others can help? By asking themselves if they still want daylight savings time in Michigan.

What happened to you?  I was pre-certified for rent help, and I chose an apartment in Cleveland, Ohio, and I was told it was ready to move in. I moved in and found that the apartment had several health hazards, when I reported the problems to the landlord and state agencies, the landlord’s response was to try and get me removed from my rent help by saying I was not compliant to receive the rent help. What would you like to see happen?  I want the landlord to be liable for the cost for me to find and move into another place. How do you think others can help?  Make the politicians do their job and be able to be of help to the people renting.

  What happened to you?  AI software branded my domain name and website as hazardous, and phishing and I could not find a responsible person or a defined metric able to tell why.  What would you like to see happen?  I want to know who’s in charge with bonified answers and powers to reverse the AI agent and give me a written response.  How do you think others can help?  They need to catch on early to what’s going on and how disadvantaged we are by not having organized leverage and protections from being individually harmed by AI agents and applications. 

What happened to you? I went in front of Monique Sharp, a judge with less than a one-year tenure that arrogantly ordered an eviction of a tenant’s rights activist in violation of her powers. What would you like to see happen? I want her to be watched and checked for what’s likely to be a lot of anti-renter rulings and orders. How do you think others can help? I think Detroiters should pay closer attention to these judges that are put on the bench for their personal upward mobility, and not justice. What happened to you? I let the friend of one of us victims take the lead in organizing and that laid to the problem that is negatively affecting me. What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see better organized and connected advocates and problem-solving. How do you think others can help? I think we all should have more questions and thoughts about our responses to what happens. I think we should be positioned to acknowledge those in mutual agreement with city decisions before counter-productive stuff happens.

  What happened to you? I feel like my voice didn’t matter at the time the city voters decided to defund the police, voters apparently voted without considering what to do to make better outcomes. What would you like to see happen? I want all those in my city to take note of the outcome of making spontaneous defunding of vital services without a workable alternative. How do you think others can help? I think we are all better off doing organizing and problem solving around what happened to the person(s) as opposed to temporary emotions and short-term solutions that have had a disproportionately negative effect on the innocent and guilty.

What happened to you? I see people every day that would be a lot better served if they had been engaged in communication with advocates and organizers. What would you like to see happen? I want to encourage everybody to join or start building advocacy groups and redress alliances. We all need a way to tell what happened to us. I also want more of us to work on having pre-organized contacts to get productive responses. How do you think others can help? Support those that are organizing around incoming firsthand accounts of what happened.

  What happened to you?  My son was murdered, and his friends told who they believe did it. But the detective said there was not enough evidence without more eyewitness corroboration. What would you like to see happen?  More people willing to stand up and say what they know, see or heard. How do you think others can help?  Realize that we all depend on each other for the truth and safety.

What happened to you?  After working all my life when it was time to live my final years. The places I could afford to live in also accepted individuals with little to no experience of living respectfully with others. What would you like to see happen?   I’d like to see more consideration given to pairing residents that don’t have compatible behaviors or willingness’s to follow rules written out for tenants. How do you think others can help?   I believe by educating and lobbying rental property operators to better tailor management practices will help.

What happened to you?  A good neighbor and medical doctor in my community was attacked on an earlier occasion and most recently was killed. And the attackers nor his killer has been arrested or named. What would you like to see happen?  More people adhere to the scripture that bad association spoils useful habits. (1-Corinthians 15:33.) How do you think others can help?  Remind family, friends and neighbors to avoid situations and people who are quick to anger and prone to revenge.

   What happened to you?  My neighbor smokes weed, and I can smell it down the hall, but nothing gets done. When I report it, management makes sure that anyone that wants to know who made the report is told, and that causes more problems. What would you like to see happen?  I’d like to see somebody come up with something. How do you think others can help?  Insist on smokers being more considerate.

What happened to you?  Earlier I bought a box of cereal that had a major product quality defect, I bought the defective cereal at Rivertown Meijer in Detroit, MI. I decided to contact the manufacturer, after they reviewed my complaint they sent me coupons for free cereal. When I went back to the Meijer store where I bought the cereal and told them what happened, and when I tried to use the coupon, the store aid said the machine nor herself were taking the coupon. I politely asked her to look deeper, but she refused. What would you like to see happen?  There should always be someone present during the store operating hours that can override any rejection by a machine programing error. How do you think others can help?  They can help by advocating for keeping humans with over-ride authority in the loop when machines are making decisions.

What happened to you?  I was defamed and removed as a participating prescription medicine provider for Express Script of St. louis, MO. I was removed as a retaliation exclusion because I raised concerns about the pharmacy benefit managers not fulfilling the legally required community reinvestment. What would you like to see happen?  I want to see ExpressScript and all Prescription Benefit Managers reinstate their victims and make whole those that have been harmed by their retaliatory reinvestments, statements and punishments.   What happened to you? I joined a group that started organizing around the killing of a local activist. I was not affiliated by membership with the organizers before this incident. The directions and rules appeared to just pop up by word of mouth and only vetted by the organizers. I learned that my short-term emotions were not a good place to start my organized problem solving. What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see more and better pre-organizing before trauma becomes the basis for organizing to solve long term problems. How do you think others can help? Join and organize groups without using trauma-based organizing to encourage victims and potential victims to take part.

  What happened to you?  I selected a lawyer that quickly let me know that he was the trained attorney, and that I should leave the strategy for defense to him. The result was that his strategy would have been more effective and better substantiated had he presented the strategy to the client. What would you like to see happen?  I would like to see more consideration and transparent presentation of intended strategy and the expected outcome, made available to clients. How do you think others can help?  Others can help by reporting their experiences with attorneys for comparison and archiving.

From hurricanes to auto’s, the insurance companies and their fair practices are going rogue. The insurers are often using tactics that take consumer dollars, while crafting post claim causes for not paying or paying fairly.

What happened to you?  I live in a cluster of apartments and every day my neighbor and his friends arrive playing music with the bass being so loud that it vibrates my walls. What would you like to see happen?  A sign that says do not enter with loud music followed by swift corrective responses. How do you think others can help?  Demand that multi-unit property managers do more to stop tenants that practice disturbing and selfish behaviors with their music.

What happened to you?  For years I’ve noticed that different ones would literally throw their household garbage onto the street and not care. What would you like to see happen?  I want more comprehensive follow up and corrective measures from the city.
