What happened to you? I have direct knowledge, and I want all hearing-impaired people to know that Cochlear implants do not restore hearing. They do not cure deafness. They are not producing natural sounds that people with normal hearing have.
What would you like to see happen? I want it needed on the front end that potential patients and guardians have better education and deeper understandings into the firsthand accounts of the full scope of patients who’ve already gotten the implants.
How do you think others can help? Please consider open sources for the firsthand accounts of the patients who’ve already gotten the implants. Please consider that you most likely will only get the most benefit from these implants if the patient is under 5.
