What happened to you? Me and my husband got sick from the same meal we ate during a trip to Mexico. My hospital treatment was covered by the traveler’s insurance I bought, my husband refused to buy the coverage, and his bill was $6,500 and you can’t leave the country until you pay in full.
What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see more people realize it’s better to buy some travelers’ medical insurance when traveling into places outside the U.S.
How do you think others can help? Educate and promote the importance of medical coverage during international travel.
