What happened to you? I went online and applied to drive for the app-based ride-share service Uber. When I was accepted, I quit my part-time job to work for Uber. While I was making steady progress during the 2 weeks that I was allowed to drive, the car I rented from the Uber associated Hertz rental agency stopped working properly. After I reported the car and had it towed, I was informed that my rating was not sufficient.
What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see all the requirements for new drivers presented upfront. (2) I’d like to see a more transparent driver training and development criteria from Hertz & Uber.
How do you think others can help? I think others can help by encouraging the companies to have more consideration in their interface with new drivers.
