What happened? I saved my odd job money and bought a car. The car was used and being sold by a licensed dealer. The dealer said the car was as is and I didn’t know who to trust to get the car inspected. 3 days later the car I paid $6,500 for needed $4,000 worth of repairs to start again.
What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see a list of independent mechanics that do vehicle inspections for consumers before they buy used vehicles.
How do you think others can help? I’d like to see some organized encouragement of legislators to make some policy and options for first-time vehicle buyers.
