Victim Of A Bureaucratic Failure Answers 3
What happened? I’m 99 years old and at the time of my birth in Nashville, TN most childbirth records were handled very much below the standards of today. Midwives and unaffiliated doctors often delivered babies; this practice was the norm in non-Caucasian communities. Over the years of my life the difference between the 14th and the 15th day of January caused me not to get some government services to which I’ve been entitled, like Medicaid as an example.
What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see a more robust archive of firsthand experiences to reinforce data used by bureaucrats. (2) I’d like those responsible for handling firsthand accounts of what happened to be more easily connectable.
How do you think others can help? I believe others can help by demanding a designated and responsible handler of individual claims from those affected by this problem.
