Victim of Non-Disclosure Agreement Answers 3

What happened? When I signed a non-disclosure agreement as an employee, I had no idea what I might eventually witness or experience firsthand. As a participant and observer, I later realized that the NDA could be used to silence legitimate concerns—leaving me trapped between legal obligations and ethical responsibility.
What would you like to see happen? Society needs to reexamine how NDAs are used in employment settings. These agreements should not be tools for suppressing truth or shielding misconduct. We need clearer boundaries, better education, and legal reforms that protect both transparency and fairness.
How do you think others can help? Raise awareness. Question the automatic use of NDAs in workplaces. Advocate for policies that balance confidentiality with the public’s right to know and the employee’s right to speak. The more we talk about it, the more we can reshape how these agreements are used—and misused.
