Bought Car As Is Answers 3

What happened? I saved my odd job money and bought a car. The car was used and being sold by a licensed dealer. The dealer said the car was as is and I didn’t know who to trust to get the car inspected. 3 days later the car I paid $6,500 to get needed $4,000 worth of repairs for it to start again.
What would you like to see happen? I’d like to see a list of independent mechanics that do vehicle inspections for consumers before they buy used vehicles.
How do you think others can help? I’d like to see some organized encouragement for legislators to make some policies and options for used vehicle buyers.
