What happened?
I protested at COP-27, and now it’s time for COP-30, the same unresolved issues persist. The core problem is still that highly industrialized nations continue to delay or deny funding for remedies that protect victims of climate change, especially those who contribute little or nothing to global emissions. These communities are left vulnerable, unshielded, and unheard.
What would you like to see happen?
I want to see substantial, sustained funding directed toward protecting non-polluting and low-emission communities that are already suffering and those at risk. Climate justice demands that we prioritize the innocent, not just the powerful. Remedies must be proactive, not performative.
How do you think others can help?
Don’t be an accomplice in harming non-combatant humanity. Challenge systems that externalize harm. Refuse to normalize neglect. Support policies, coalitions, and platforms that center the voices and needs of climate victims, not just the interests of polluters.
