What happened?

Every day, I have to endure my neighbor opening his apartment door so that his cigarette smoke and odors drift into the hallway and circulate through the building. This is supposed to be a smoke‑free senior housing facility, yet the policy is not being enforced, and it’s affecting my health and quality of life.

What would you like to see happen?

I want the building’s camera system to be used proactively to identify and document lease‑breaking behavior, including smoking violations. If management is going to claim the building is smoke‑free, they need to enforce the rules consistently and transparently.

How can others help?

Other tenants should come together and organize. When residents align themselves as a group, they have far more influence in demanding solutions, enforcing policies, and holding management accountable.
