Advocacy With -vs Advocacy For

Its right to be organized around research, best practices, and data if you're making a choice, yet the historical outcomes from the choice has been advocacy without an organized relationship with the affected people who pay the price if the choice fails. Too often when it's time to support policy or direct action there is not enough pre-organized affected individuals who can testify, show up, vote, call, and sustain pressure. In other words, you can use research, best practices, and data to describe the harm, but you cannot reliably mobilize and direct the affected. We're asking everyone that reads this to adopt policies that treat affected residents as owners of their lived experiences and firsthand answers.
