Are You New To Advocacy?

If you are new, and you want to be an advocate or a volunteer you can start with what happened to you, and we’ll help. Ask yourself what happened to me that I know is not okay? Your firsthand answer is the core of your advocacy. You can start with 3 answers and grow from there. Here are the three answers; What happened to you? What would you like to see happen? How do you think others can help? Once you’ve written your 3 answers, look around at your issue: Who else is affected like you? What options or policies already exist? Where are the gaps in help or accountability? This isn’t about becoming a scholar; it’s about knowing where your firsthand answers fit into the bigger picture. New advocates are strongest when they aren’t alone. It’s highly recommended that you join groups that already have policies for supplying members with support, advocacy, or advantages to help solve member problems and concerns. Look for co-organizers and advocates who start from firsthand answers, not just their own agendas. Mate3.com networking exists for exactly this: to receive, format, and connect your 3 answers so others who’ve said “this happened to me too” can find you, and so AI agents and humans can help match you to productive responses.
