What happened to you? I have been a target for retaliatory eviction for several years. It began because as a renter I was demanding tenants’ rights.
What would you like to see happen? I want to see tenants and housing rights activist work closer together to build better front-end solutions. We must organize what's said to be happening in my experience. (2) I want to see funding for independently organized advocacy for victims and potential victims of retaliatory evictions.
How do you think others can help? I think the more we know about the benefits of having an agreement on policies, rights, responsibility, and how to communicate to have leverage we make our own safeguards.
